For people of Turkish origin in Mannheim, Heidelberg and the Rhine-Neckar region, the enforcement of financial claims in Turkey is often an unknown territory. Turkish enforcement law (İcra ve İflas Hukuku) differs significantly from German law — and requires a lawyer who knows both systems.

What we do for you:

Whether unpaid invoices, loan claims, rent arrears or other monetary claims — we initiate enforcement proceedings before the competent Turkish enforcement office (İcra Müdürlüğü) and pursue your claim consistently. This includes serving the payment order, processing objections and enforcing the claim.

A German court judgment is not automatically enforceable in Turkey. It must first be declared enforceable by a Turkish court through a Tenfiz procedure. We conduct this procedure, obtain the declaration of enforceability and then initiate enforcement proceedings in Turkey.

If the debtor has assets in Turkey — real estate, bank accounts, vehicles, business interests — we identify these assets and initiate the appropriate enforcement measures. This includes entry of an enforcement mortgage in the Turkish land register as security for your claim.

If you are being unjustifiably subjected to enforcement proceedings in Turkey, we represent you in your defence — through objection proceedings (İtiraz), appeals and court applications to stop the enforcement.

If the debtor is insolvent or insolvency proceedings are expected in Turkey, we advise you on how best to protect your claims and represent you in Turkish insolvency proceedings.

Enforcement proceedings that span both countries are particularly complex. We coordinate simultaneously with German authorities and Turkish enforcement offices and ensure that all procedural steps in both legal systems are correctly implemented.
