Turkish visa refused or entry ban imposed?
For German citizens and third-country nationals living in Germany: we establish the reason, apply to have it lifted and, where necessary, sue before the Turkish administrative court — by power of attorney, without travel.
For German citizens and third-country nationals living in Germany – representation before Turkish authorities and administrative courts in cases of visa refusal, refusal of entry at the border and entry bans.
Turkish visa and entry ban: what we handle
Prepare the visa application properly
We assemble the documents for the Turkish consulate and check them against the refusal grounds in Art. 15 of Law No. 6458 before filing.
Challenge a visa refusal
We review the refusal or cancellation decision (Arts. 15–17) and decide with you between a fresh application and an annulment action.
Have an entry ban lifted
We establish the reason, duration and restriction code, and apply for the ban to be lifted or for time-limited entry under Art. 9(6).
Action before the administrative court
Annulment action within 60 days of notification, combined with a request to suspend enforcement (Arts. 7, 27 of Law No. 2577).
Refusal of entry and deportation
After refusal of entry at the border (Art. 7) or a deportation decision, every day counts: the time limit is only 7 days (Art. 53(3)).
Residence and work permits
Where a Turkish residence or work permit is refused or cancelled, we conduct the administrative and court proceedings.
Many people learn of an entry ban only at the airport.
Under Art. 10 the measure is generally notified only at the border. If you have any indication of a ban or a past overstay, have your status clarified before booking a ticket — the court deadline starts running on notification.
How the process works
Tell us what happened
Send us the decision, the notice from the border or a short account — with the date of notification.
Establish reason, code and deadline
We establish through the Turkish authorities which measure exists, what it is based on and which deadline is running.
File the application or the action
Once the power of attorney is in place, we apply for the measure to be lifted or bring an annulment action before the competent administrative court.
Why clients instruct us for entry problems
With visas and entry bans, sequence is decisive: establish the reason and the deadline first, then choose the right route. A fresh application made without knowing the ground of refusal usually just repeats the result.
Visa-free does not mean entitled to enter
Visa-exempt travellers can also be turned back under Art. 7. Under Art. 11(3) a visa confers no absolute right of entry.
The deadlines are short
60 days for an annulment action, only 7 days against a deportation decision. Waiting generally means losing the remedy.
The restriction code determines the route
A record for an overstay is handled differently from one based on public security. That is why establishing the reason comes first.
Two routes: application and court action
Art. 9(6) allows the authority to lift the ban or permit time-limited entry. The court deadline is kept in view in parallel.
Directly before Turkish courts
Admission to the Ankara Bar, registration under § 207 BRAO and UYAP access: proceedings in Turkey, communication from Germany.
